Steward Joins DC Protests
Against UN Sanctions of Eritrea
On the 22nd of February 2010, Berhane Tesfai, a Steward at Fairview Riverside alongside several thousands of Eritreans and Friends of Eritrea took to the streets of Washington, DC to protest against the Security Council Resolution 1907 (2009) and the sanctions against Eritrea.
The demonstration in Washington, DC was part of the world wide day of protest. Similar rallies were conducted in San Francisco, CA, Melbourne Australia, and Geneva Switzerland.
Demonstrators gathered at Lafayette Park in front of the White House in a colorful show of unity and determination to bring public awareness to the sanctions imposed upon the people of Eritrea.
